Biographic Outline
Dr. Jana Price-Sharps is a licensed psychologist in California and the President of California Forensic Institute, Inc. CFI Inc. provides pre-employment psychological evaluations, background checks, and polygraph services to law enforcement agencies throughout the State of California. Dr. Price-Sharps is also a professor at Alliant International University in the Forensic Psychology Program where she teaches police psychology and other forensic courses. Her research interests include police officer stress reduction, treatment of post traumatic stress disorder, and stressful factors in undercover policing. Dr. Price-Sharps has made numerous presentations to police officers and clinicians in California and nationwide on police officer stress, the development of support services for police agencies, successful transition of undercover operatives, the role of the psychologist in hostage/crisis negotiations, and the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder.
