Biographic Outline
Dr. Pinkston grew up in the Pacific Northwest where his father was a Douglas County Police Officer. Dr. Pinkston earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. He completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at the Cleveland Clinic. He also completed a Post-Doctoral Masters of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Pinkston is currently on staff at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, and he holds joint appointments in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry. He is licensed in Louisiana as a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist, and Medical Psychologist. He is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, the American Psychological Association, and the Academy of Medical Psychologist. Dr. Pinkston has published in the areas of multiples sclerosis, head injury and brain damage, neuroimaging, and personality assessment.
