Biographic Outline
Dr. Baker was born in Amarillo, Texas and grew up in that area. He moved to Boise, Idaho at 17 years of age. He entered the US Army in 1967 and served just over one year in Viet Nam with the 9th Infantry Division, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He returned to Boise and attended Boise State College (now University) where he achieved his BS in Psychology. He worked for the state Health and Welfare Dept. for 4 years and then attended the University of Rhode Island where he achieved his MS in School Psychology and his Ph.D. in Psychology. He worked in the Coventry School System as a School Psychologist from 1980 to 1986. He moved to Monroe, Louisiana at that time and became the director of the School Psychology program at University of Louisiana. He retired from that position in 1996. He attended University of Texas - Tyler during a sabbatical leave over the 1994/95 school year receiving training in clinical neuropsycholgoy. He has been in full time private practice since 1996. He received hisPost Doctoral Masters Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant University in 1999. He is a licensed psychologist and medical psychologist in the state of Louisiana. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychologists, the Louisiana Psychological Association, and the Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychologists. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners.
